Chapter 86 Apostle
\'What a strange aura he has... I don\'t know why I feel this way, but it\'s different from all the other times... I must do anything to beat him!\' Zayne said confidently to himself as he prepared for battle.
Elin was disarmed, for an archer to lose one of his arms was like becoming completely useless, which Enar took advantage of.
"Apostles... I have never fought you before, but I have heard stories of how terribly strong you are... Get ready, this will be a hard fight!" Roland clenched his sword tightly.
"Yeah... I heard about them from my father. If we have Oracles, then Chaos has their subordinates..." Rea frowned as her ring glowed, and a purple cube appeared in her hand, which she carefully hid under her mantle.
Enar frowned, "\'Subordinates? Watch what you say unless you want me to rip your tongue out. Oracles can\'t do anything without others, and we Apostles have enough power to help Chaos increase its influence in this world!"
Zayne listened intently to every word. There was a battle ahead of them with a serious opponent, but he wanted to get a handle on the situation.
\'Hmm... If the Apostles are a counterweight to the Oracles, then what is their specialty?\' Zayne muttered inwardly, not realizing that he had already received an answer from Roland.
"Agh..." Geir was puzzled, "You\'re just like Oracle, only on the Chaos side...? I don\'t understand anything..."
Enar looked at him, shook his head, and took a deep breath, "Our conversation isn\'t going anywhere anyway. You\'ll find out the answers to your questions during the fight."
Whoooooooooooosh.
ραпdα nᴏνa| сom Enar\'s silhouette blurred as he appeared before Geir with flaming fists. Geir flinched, exposing his shield and preparing to take the blow.
"You have a great shield and good skills, but not enough to hold me back." Enar whispered, punching through the shield, that made Geir\'s eyes go wide.
"Bastard!" Roland exclaimed, and with a wind stream rained his sword down on Enar.
Enar\'s eyes shifted to Roland, then he abruptly snatched the shield from the stunned Geir\'s hands and covered it from the attack.
Tremble.
A tremble went through the shield, running down Enar\'s hands.
"Oh, you\'re strong, now I see why this Orc lost, however, aren\'t you wasting too much mana?" Enar swung the shield, knocking Roland\'s arm to the side, and jumped back.
Continuing to hold the shield in his hand, he lunged straight for Rea, but Roland immediately appeared before him, ready to give another strike.
"Hah, tactics don\'t sound familiar to you at all." Enar smirked, jumped aside, and his palm lit up. He quickly ran his hand over the edge of the shield, causing it to burn, and doing a somersault in the air he threw it right at Geir with all his might.
Geir\'s eyes went wide, for him, Enar was moving too fast for him to understand anything.
Crackle.
The shield slammed into Geir\'s chest, easily going through his armor like a blade and into his flesh, leaving a wide cut on it.
"AGH!!!" Geir spurted out a stream of blood, fell to one knee, and everything in front of him blurred.
"Oh, you\'re a tough guy, I figured that would be enough." Enar made a surprised face and lunged forward.
"Shit! Geir! Run!" Roland exclaimed, trying to catch up with Enar, but he was too far away.
Whoooooooooooosh.
Enar\'s left leg was covered in red flame and, like a flash collapsed on Geir, who was on the verge of losing consciousness.
At the last moment, Zayne stood in front of Geir and put out a block with his sword. Enar\'s eyes went wide as he collided with the scarlet sword and bounced back.
\'Damn... His fighting style is incredible...\' Zayne muttered inwardly with a gulp, \'Though he\'s our enemy, he fights like he\'s done it hundreds of times, smart and calculated. He\'s like a mixture of Hugo and Veronika... but he\'s much stronger...\'
"Geir! Are you okay?!" Rea exclaimed worriedly as she ran up to him with the potion in her hand. She quickly opened it and poured the red liquid into Geir\'s mouth.
Enar, with his arms crossed over his chest watched them, it seemed that he was just amusing himself as only those related to Fate were his job.
Geir sighed and muttered with a slight smile, "Yeah... Really, I\'m afraid I can\'t help you... I\'m only strong enough for this..."
Geir\'s eyes sparkled as he touched Rea. Their bodies were covered in a dense golden shell that Geir spent all his mana on, then he clenched his teeth tightly and prepared to grab his shield and pull it from his chest in one motion.
The blood from the wound should have gushed out, but the shell held it back, keeping the bleeding from spreading.
"Good luck... I\'m sure you can handle it..." Geir whispered, took a few steps, and collapsed next to the stone pillar, unconscious.
Rea\'s face twisted with sadness. She understood that Geir would survive, but it hurt her to see this happen to him.
"Bastard... You\'re standing there just watching... Are you so arrogant that you didn\'t even try to stop me!" Rea exclaimed furiously as she pointed her staff at Enar.
Enar simply shrugged, "Yeah, it\'s just like you said. If I have to deal with you and fix the failure of these monsters, why don\'t I enjoy the show? Or... would you prefer that I kill him and your archer right now? If you wish, I can grant that request..."
Crackle.
Enar\'s cold gaze went to Rea, making her shudder in fear, she even unknowingly took a step back as her instincts told her of deadly danger.
\'What am I doing...? I have to fight... Fuck! If he really is as strong as his confidence is great, then I have to do my best!\' Rea said inwardly as she channeled the mana to the cube she held in her hand.
"Roland, Zayne! Hold him down!" Rea exclaimed as she threw the cube forward.
Enar\'s gaze locked on the cube, and it only took him a few moments to realize what it was, then his gaze grew serious.
"Pfff, how bold, but stupid!" Enar frowned as he bounced back, trying to get out of range of the artifact.
Tap.
Suddenly, behind him appeared Roland, who put his hand on his shoulder, stopping him.
"Hey, I\'m actually grateful you didn\'t kill my mates, but do you really think we\'re going to let you go alive?" Roland\'s cold voice headed into Enar\'s mind, sending chills down his spine.
Whoooooooooosh.
Roland\'s sword came down on Enar\'s at tremendous speed, about to cut him in two in a single swing.
Enar\'s arms and legs were on fire as he turned sharply, and at the last moment, he managed to stop Roland\'s sword, gripping it tightly between his palms.
The sharp blade of the sword, right at Enar\'s forehead, left a thin cut on it, from which trickles of blood ran down, splitting in two as it reached his nose.
\'A sword with Fate\'s Power... It\'s a unique weapon... Seems I need to get a little more serious, this Knight will be a problem.\' Enar pondered, staring intently into Roland\'s eyes.
